Ensure a safe learning environment with RoyalCert’s comprehensive school safety inspections. For most of the year, children spend more time at school than anywhere else other than their own home. At school, children need a secure, positive and comfortable environment to help them learn. This means they have to feel safe in their school and be able to positively interact with their teachers and classmates. The RoyalCert School Safety Project offers to uphold confidence and security according to international and national regulations and standards.

Four‑Step Methodology

RoyalCert applies a structured four‑step methodology for school safety projects:

Definition of the current situation at each school

Assess existing conditions, practices and potential risks.

Competence studies at reference schools

Benchmark against best‑practice schools to identify gaps and improvement areas.

Audits

Perform systematic inspections to evaluate safety, compliance and operational effectiveness.

Reporting & Certification

Issue detailed reports with findings and recommendations, and provide certification when standards are met.

Evaluation Parameters

The project defines several parameters for evaluating safety and sustainability within schools:

Forms the basis for the Turkish Sustainable Tourism Criteria certification, which is implemented by the tourism industry across Turkey.

Serves as basic guidance for businesses of all sizes to be more sustainable and aims to contribute to the sustainable growth of tourism in Turkey.

Helps raise awareness among Turkish society, visitors, industry and tourism investors about sustainable tourism principles and practices.

Provides a framework for effective promotion and marketing to recognize sustainable tourism providers.

Contributes to Turkey’s fulfillment of obligations arising from the Paris Climate Agreement and the European Green Deal through sustainable tourism criteria and environmental labels.

Establishes a basic approach and framework for government, civil society, academia and the private sector to collaborate on developing sustainable tourism policies, practices and requirements.

Offers basic principles to educational institutions such as universities and tourism schools to integrate sustainability into curricula.

It leads the sector and investors in a way that encourages sustainability practices.
